Our history

2015 - 2017

Creation of Tabesto and prototype

The idea to reinvent the ordering experience in restaurants through digital solutions was born in the mind of Guillaume, Tabesto’s founder. After a first incubator program and hiring the first interns, a mid-2017 fundraising round allowed the development of the first mini touch kiosks and the hiring of the first employees.

2018 - 2019

From prototype to market

Tabesto signed its first client and completed a second fundraising round to structure the team and develop touch menus for fast food. In July 2019, the mini self-order kiosks with integrated payment were launched in France, and a new management team was formed.

2020

Health crisis and first successes

During the administrative closures linked to the health crisis, Tabesto accelerated development to adapt to fast-food chains and launched a new generation of 15” and 22” kiosks. At the same time, the company tripled its workforce and signed its first major contracts with large chains such as Pokawa, Planet Sushi, and Burger de Papa.

2021 - 2022

Growth and expansion

With the reopening of the restaurant market, several chains equipped their first points of sale (Elgi, Factory & Co, Fresh Burritos, Nachos, King Marcel…). Tabesto strengthened its position in the 10–100 store chain segment and secured development through a new fundraising round, expanding into Europe with first clients in Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, and Switzerland.

2023 - 2024

Tap-to-Pay kiosk and deployment boom

Tabesto outsourced equipment preparation and shipping, launched the FOX kiosk with integrated payment and digital receipt, and redesigned the ordering journey. At the same time, Tabesto grew from 100 to 1,000 points of sale and signed its first contract with a chain of over 300 locations.
